iFinger 18.104.22.168 is a program that lets you manage dictionaries of different languages.
I´m reviewing this program based in the Oxford English Dictionary, but it´s general behavior is the same for any chosen dictionary.
iFinger is a dictionary search engine that attaches itself to the active window, giving you a search box that you can use to access any reference content that you buy and download to your hard drive (in this case, the Oxford English Dictionary).
If you want to search a word, you only have to type it in the program´s tiny search box and click over the magnifier icon. iFinger will look up the word in the installed dictionaries, and will bring you the meaning of that word, its classification, and a link to look for further details on Wikipedia.
The program will keep a history of the words searched. You can click on any word that has been already searched to see the results again.
You can add as many dictionaries as you want (you have to buy them first). The indicated U$S 67 cost is for the Oxford English Dictionary only.
- It´s a powerful reference tool. You can choose what dictionaries you will use
